Inconel 713LC

Inconel 713LC is the low-carbon modification of 713C. Reducing the carbon content from the 0.08 to 0.16 percent of 713C to 0.03 to 0.07 percent suppresses the formation of large blocky MC carbides during solidification, which markedly improves ductility, impact toughness and castability. The alloy is widely used as master alloy for investment castings where a sound casting with a minimum of hot cracking is required.

Applications of Inconel 713LC

  • Investment castings requiring improved ductility and reduced hot cracking.
  • Master alloy for lost-wax casting of blades, vanes and integrally cast rotors.
  • Weld repair and cladding of nickel-base castings.
  • High-temperature structural castings where toughness matters as much as strength.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Inconel 713LC?

Inconel 713LC (Alloy 713LC, UNS N07713, K418B, AMS 5382) is a master alloys grade.

What forms of Inconel 713LC do you supply?

ROBAN supplies Inconel 713LC as master alloy bar, as-cast, vacuum induction melted, master alloy ingot and button, horizontally vacuum cast bar, remelted casting rod for investment casting, cut to the length you need and packed for remelting.

Do you supply material certificates for Inconel 713LC?

Yes. Every order ships with a mill test report covering the actual heat analysis of the melt, together with the heat number and the melt route. 3.2 documentation is available where the contract requires it.

What is the lead time for Inconel 713LC?

Master alloy is made to order rather than held in stock. The usual lead time is 20 to 40 working days depending on the grade, the melt route and the quantity. Send us your specification for a firm date.

Can you supply Inconel 713LC in a specific size?

Yes. State the diameter, the length and the condition you need. Bar is normally supplied as-cast and cut to your length, and ingot is supplied as button or cube to match your melting equipment.
