Master Alloys

GH4169 Master Alloy

GH4169 is the Chinese designation for Inconel 718, the most widely used nickel-iron-chromium precipitation hardened superalloy. Niobium and tantalum form the primary gamma-double-prime phase, molybdenum gives solid-solution strengthening and pitting resistance, and the alloy retains strength from cryogenic service up to about 700 degrees Celsius. As master alloy it is supplied as cast bar or ingot for vacuum remelting, and as wrought bar for forged discs and shafts.

What forms of GH4169 Master Alloy do you supply?

ROBAN supplies GH4169 Master Alloy as master alloy bar, as-cast, vacuum induction melted, master alloy ingot and button, horizontally vacuum cast bar, remelted casting rod for investment casting, cut to the length you need and packed for remelting.

Do you supply material certificates for GH4169 Master Alloy?

Yes. Every order ships with a mill test report covering the actual heat analysis of the melt, together with the heat number and the melt route. 3.2 documentation is available where the contract requires it.

What is the lead time for GH4169 Master Alloy?

Master alloy is made to order rather than held in stock. The usual lead time is 20 to 40 working days depending on the grade, the melt route and the quantity. Send us your specification for a firm date.

Can you supply GH4169 Master Alloy in a specific size?

Yes. State the diameter, the length and the condition you need. Bar is normally supplied as-cast and cut to your length, and ingot is supplied as button or cube to match your melting equipment.
