We Have Published Our Working ASTM Standards Library
Every specification we quote against, with the official title, the scope as written, and the grades each one covers.
Why publish it
A buyer specifying material should not have to take our word for which standard governs which grade and which form. We have gone through the original standard documents — not summaries of them — and indexed them.
What is in it
- Every product specification in our working set, with the official title and the scope as written in the standard.
- The grades each standard covers, linked to the grade page.
- The general requirements standards shown separately, because they are the ones most often missed: when you order to a product specification you are also buying the general requirements it invokes.
How we built it
The library was compiled by reading the standards themselves and recording, for each one, the alloy designations in its chemical requirements table. That is a more reliable test than reading the title, and it is how we found and corrected several specification references that had drifted.
It is a working document rather than a finished publication. It grows as we add specifications to what we quote.
